Acquisition of Two Fermenters
Well, the first thing we need in order to start this entire thing going is something to ferment alcohol in! We didn’t want to go overboard with costs and fancy items so we just went for the basic standard plastic fermenters you find in most homebrew shops.
After looking around on Gumtree, we found two fermenters for sale for $60. They weren’t well-worn, and came with the taps and airlocks we needed. Brand new, we would look at around $100 for two of these so we figured we might as well grab them.
Unfortunately whilst we were sensitising them, we realised one of them had a small leak near the lid. Rather than mess around with it, this became our defacto “bucket” that we would use for things like water runoff from the condensor.
